Please follow the directions below to download and install the Skadoit! software.
Until your transaction has been verified and your account setup as purchased, your account status may show as "Trial." This process may take up to 24 hours.
Please use the following instructions to download and install the Skadoit! Software!
Once the software is downloaded, double click the setup file.
Follow the instructions as prompted.
Setup Skadoit! Backup
After successfully installing Skadoit!, you will be prompted to choose a Username and Password.
Enter a valid email address. Enter the same email address used to complete your purchase.
After a successful login, a backup setup wizard will appear to help create your first backup set.
Select the shortcuts in [Backup Source] to quickly select common files for Skadoit! to backup.
Press the [Advanced] button to select additional files and/or folders you want Skadoit! to backup. Press the [Next] button.
Select how often you would like your backup to run. Once set, your backup will run automatically at the designated time. Your initial backup usually takes the longest to complete depending on your Internet Service upload speed. This is normal. After your initial backup completes, subsequent backups will only backup the changes within files from the previous backup, new files, and retain in retention deleted and changed files. Backups after the initial backup completes usually run for only a couple minutes.
To control when your initial backup runs, you may choose to "Stop after X hour(s)." For instance, if you would like your backup to run from 12:00am until 8:00am, set the [Start] time for 00:00 and choose the [End] to stop after 8 hours. Press the [Next] button.
An Encryption prompt follows. If you elect to use a different encryption password from the password set initually, enter and confirm your encrypting key. (IMPORTANT - Do not lose this key! Only you have access to this key!) Press the [Save] button.
Your backup set is now complete. Backups will now run automatically!
Backup and Restore
To manually run a backup, press the [Backup] button. This can be done at any time.
Once an initial backup has run, you may restore a file by pressing the [Restore] button.
